For the 4th consecutive year MILLET is the partner of the Pierra Menta. With its 10 000m elevation gain in 4 days the race is regarded by many as the reference in terms of ski mountaineering.
This year, there should be a great battle between the 4 best ski alpinism nations such as France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain. Four countries that have experienced mixed fortunes last week at the European Championships in Alpago.
Italy has generally dominated the championships with at least 21 medals gathered, with behind Spain and Switzerland. But watch out for the French team, lead by Yannick Buffet in top shape, it could very well succeed at home ...

News 2009:
On Millet side we will bring novelties for this 2009 edition. Every day we will reward the most combative team, gaining the most places in the general ranking. This Millet challenge wants to enlight teams that often stays in the shadow of the best. These teams will be rewarded everyday during the daily brief.
The team MILLET
Millet will be this year well represented by the young promising team of Valentin Favre and Adrien Picot, who won the Millet TSF this year. At the last European championship this year in Italy, they have reached respectively 2nd and 4th place. They are approaching this year’s Pierra Menta with great expectations, hoping to win in their junior category and hopefully enter the top 5 in the general ranking.
